Timothy F in KY
November 4, 2008 Total duration was 7 days
Tim contacted me after he discovered his bank account balance mysteriously decreased from about $7,000 to absolutely nothing. He wanted to know if I could help. I told him, "Sure I can help. But kiss your $7,000 goodbye because IRS won't release your Bank Levy. No matter what anyone else tells you, they won't be able to get IRS to give you that $7,000 back. So before you pay anyone else an up-front fee, you should get an absolute guarantee from them that they will get IRS to put that $7,000 back into your bank account." My policy is to give up the money in the bank levy in order to save the client. You can see from the above details that Tim had an interesting grouping of tax returns and tax balances and he really needed some serious help. It took me a week to get his case all ironed out, but in the end Tim owed IRS only $1,100 and was allowed to pay it off at $135 per month. Losing $7,000 is painful for almost everyone, but Tim will be completely free of his IRS problems in less than a year.
