Total Duration, 3 Business Days
  • Power of Attorney (POA) Signed - Wednesday
  • POA Faxed to IRS - Wednesday
  • First IRS Contact - Thursday
  • Wage Levy Released - Friday

Jeff and I talked for about 30 minutes on Wednesday. I was very upset and troubled and had not slept very well the night before I called him because I had received the levy notice from my employer the previous day. Jeff told me he would probably have my wage levy released by Tuesday. I immediately faxed him the POA and he immediately faxed it to IRS. On Friday he talked to IRS and spoke with a Customer Service Representative. Jeff later told me that this CSR was definitely one of the best he had ever talked to; she told him she would have to run this case by her manager for approval, but that I met the requirements to be classified as Currently Non-Collectible (CNC). She told him it might up to five days before we received the Wage Levy Release (he told me me thought this was way too long but he didn't want to cause a problem with this kind lady).

But then he told me that he got a faxed copy of the Release of Levy within about an hour! I wish I could talk to that particular CSR and tell her how much I appreciate her fast work to get my levy released so fast. I was sure surprised when he called me and told me how fast it all happened. I even recommended Jeff to my payroll department supervisor. Maybe he will get some more clients due to his fast action on my problem.
